Meet your teacher
I started baking sourdough because I wanted something real — bread made slowly, with simple ingredients, that actually nourishes the people I love. What I didn't expect was how much I'd want to share it!
That's why I designed these classes. Not a cooking class you forget by Tuesday, but a hands-on, come-as-you-are time with friends where you leave actually knowing how to navigate sourdough. I bring everything you need. You just bring your kitchen table and your people.
Sourdough doesn't have to be complicated — it just needs someone to show you how. That's what I'm here for — I will leave you feeling empowered!
— Rachel
What you leave with
Mixed dough you take home and bake the very next day.
A fresh-baked mini boule to enjoy right away — or share at home.
A large wide-mouth jar of sourdough starter — the foundation of every future loaf.
Everything covered in class, written down to reference in days to come.
An optional invite to our private group for ongoing support and connection to fellow bakers.
Roughly 2.5 hours of hands-on learning, so you leave knowing — not just watching.
Kind words
Rachel's sourdough class was so fun and helpful! She kept it simple and made it feel doable for each person. I had previously been intimidated by all the steps, even though I'm an experienced cook, and I have loved making my loaves ever since!
Hosting Rachel's sourdough class was so easy and enjoyable! All I needed to provide was a clean space and a few light appetizers and drinks, and Rachel handled the rest. The class was fun, educational, and hands-on through every stage of the simplified Ben Starr sourdough process. Baking mini boules, tasting fresh sourdough, and learning together made for a wonderful evening with our community. Highly recommend!
Making Sourdough may become your new obsession!! I highly recommend taking Rachel's sourdough class. She breaks it down in simple manageable steps for the real life busy home. Rachel literally thought of everything. I went home with a beautiful loaf, a starter, and the skills to easily succeed in my own kitchen. My kids are so thankful I took this class and I am too. These tasty Sourdough loaves don't last long after they come out of the oven in my home. I thoroughly enjoyed Rachel's class!
The class
Choose a date, invite 4–8 friends who want to learn sourdough. Afternoon or evening works best. You handle snacks and prep the space, which should include a full-size, working oven.
She sets up everything before guests arrive — all supplies, starter, dough — so class starts smoothly right on time.
Demonstration, technique, tasting, and real baking. Everyone participates — no one just watches.
Every guest walks out with dough ready to bake, a jar of starter, a baked mini boule, notes, and access to the community.
